Spread with mustard, tomato sauce

and ketchup

You make my day beautiful

Hotter

the better

                                                               COVID-19 through the seasons

The global pandemic, COVID-19

Initially discovered in the winter of 2019

It was discovered in China 

It is a deadly virus

It lived through winter

When spring came it isn’t wiped out

It is transmitted through droplets

Spring’s flower and beautiful birds could not stop it 

It is summer and the virus is still not wiped out

Summer’s heat kills animals but not this virus

Scientists are making vaccines for it

But it is now airborne disease 

Now autumn has arrived 

Developed countries are making vaccines 

We are in lock down protected by our king

Let us all pray to wipe out the virus sooner

The Odyssey by Homer

Once there lived a king who ruled a small island called Ithaca. His name was Odysseus. He sailed away from Ithaca to Trojan for a war. Odysseus went to war in Trojan because Helen was stolen by Paris. Paris took Helen to Troy. Helen was the wife of Menelaus of Sparta. Odysseus went to Troy in order to get Helen back.

Paris, son of king Priam, fell in love with with Helen so Paris took Helen to Troy. 1000 Greek army sailed to Troy to get Helen back. Odysseus spent 10 long years in Troy  to win the war. He won the war and sailed back to Ithaca. On the way he got lost. 

He met Polyphemus the one eyed Cyclops, son of Poseidon. One day Odysseus and his men went to  cyclops’s cave to steal some cheese and butter but the cyclops reaches home. The monster finds out what was going on and the angry monster consumes Odysseus’s men alive. When the cyclops sleeps Odysseus and his men poked a burning wood in the cyclops’s big eye. He faces lots of Troubles and monsters. Some monsters were the cunning sirens, Scylla, the six headed monster and many more.

At last Odysseus reaches home but there was a surprise waiting for him at home. There were more than hundreds of suitors who wanted to win Odysseus’s wife as their wife. Odysseus’s son Telemachus was grown up and saw his father for the first time. Odysseus killed all the suitors and  lived happily ever after. 

 

If I could visit any where on the earth for a month vacation...

                                                                Madagascar 

If I could visit any where on the  earth for a month vacation, I would go to Madagascar. It is a place full of birds, mammals and plants. My love for watching birds will be fulfilled because Madagascar is home for different and unique species of birds. If you love nature Madagascar is full of nature. Since it is an island you can  also go fishing too.

Madagascar presents some animals that does not exist anywhere on earth like the ring-tailed lemur. The ring-tailed lemur exists no where except on Madagascar. There are lots of reptiles, plants and mammals that only lives in Madagascar.

Madagascar is a large island closer to Eastern Africa. Some people say when Africa cracked the small part of land got separated from Africa and all the animals got trapped in the small land. That’s how Madagascar was formed. There are more than 22 million people living in Madagascar.

If I ever visit Madagascar I would learn their skills like fishing, making fire with stones, and many more. I would love to see bird like the magnificent toucan. Some people call it the banana beaked bird because it has a beak like a banana. I would also see the ring-tailed lemur.

Madagascar is full of nature. In order to develop nature like Madagascar we should not harm animal and destroy nature. If we do not disturb the eco system our country will be like Madagascar.

There are different types of sounds we hear in our Dailey life. Evened make lots of sounds for example we burp ,fart ,snore and also make lots of other sound.

Babies make lots of sound like crying, laughing and cooing. Not only babies, even kids make sound but they can be noisy when they quarrel with friends. Teenagers think loud music is brilliant but as they grow older and become adults they settle down and quieten down.

You can always make sound by tapping, singing, talking, And so on. We can feel the vibration on the throat while talking while you are talking 

There are also some interesting facts about sound. Too much noise  can stun and even kill people. It can shatter glass. Sound can make our eye balls shiver in their socket

Squire Terrance and the maiden’s knight was a fantastic book. Do you like books about castle and knights?,if you do this book is for you

In this book when Terrance a young orphan meets a knight called Gawain, sir Gawain offers him to be his squire. Terrance and the knight, sir Gawain have lots of adventures, some of them includes sword fights, Magics and many more. 

This book was very good. My favorite character in this book was Terrance because he is innocent and and talented. My favorite part in this book was when  Terrance learned to use long bow. He was a natural born hunter.

I rate this book 10/10 because it is very interesting and funny I enjoyed reading it so much and I recommend this book to others

                               My Journey to Haa

On 21st May I went to my village.My village is in Haa Dzongkhag. we traveled from Punakha to Thimphu and  halted in Thimphu for tea and snacks.  After serving the tea we were treated with Bhutanese flat bread /kaptang.

After a while we reached Paro, I enjoyed the view. Then we reached at chelela. We went to chelela to see the Himalayan  monal but we did see about 10 male blood pheasants. The pheasants were just Crossing the road. We silently took our camera and followed them but unfortunately they ran out of sight so we just got back in our car and continued our journey.

After further down the road  saw a Kalij pheasant and it ran down the road. At around 4’O clock we reached at my village. Unfortunately it was raining. The next day I saw few minivets and a grey- backed shrike. It rained  the whole day and I was disappointed. On the next day it was finally sunny and we went for a walk. I experienced lots of fun. I even saw lots of birds. We played cycle races and running races. I learned that if you wait fun will always come. I stayed at Haa for four days. In future I need to plan to come earlier to Haa. At last we we came back to Punakha .

Short story

                                                                Bird Migration


Once upon a time there lived a flock of black-necked cranes.They were migrating south from Tibet to Bhutan and the leader said “we should always migrate in v shape.” They began to migrate.The smaller ones asked “why should we always migrate in v shape lets try A shape.
Then they all began to form A shape. The leader was annoyed and shouted “we have to fly only in v shape because we can conserve energy and keep track of each other!” If one get tired that bird can take the back line and the active ones can come in the front line.Therefore, all agreed to form V-shape pattern.

After sometime all were bored except the leader.They all asked “when will we reach the destination?” The leader said “After six hours.”  Some birds suggested to play hide and seek. One bird told the leader to kick of the game by counting 1….2…3. Within no time all the cranes started hiding. The leader was really annoyed and shouted “Migrating is not a game!” They were scared a little bit this time. It started becoming  dark and the leader said “we should stop for the night.” They found a place to halt for the night. After a while the small ones insisted the  leader to tell them  a story. The leader narrated by saying  “Once upon a time the small cranes went to bed,” and abruptly stoped there. The smaller birds  complained that it was a terrible story and the leader said that it was their favorite story. The little ones sadly went to bed.

The next day they were migrating and out of no where an eagle showed up and chased them. The leader was scared and flew away. The little ones were not scared and they attacked the eagle.
At last the eagle was chased and the leader was shocked. The little ones shared the importance of cooperation and the leader was so happy. The journey came to the destination with lots of challenges and difficulties, however all of them settled happily in Bhutan.

Bird watching

Birds are the most beautiful creature on earth. I have known about different bird species. I love watching birds. Bird watching can connect myself with the environment. I feel very thrilled when I see a rare bird like white-bellied heron. Bird watching is my hobby I spend my leisure time witching birds near by the place where I live.

I study in Thinleygang Primary school which falls under Punakha Dzongkhag. I saw many birds in this place. Some of the birds that I have sighted in my locality are rufous sibia, barred cuckoo dove, green backed tit and many other birds. The sight of the white-bellied heron along the phochu river fascinated me. When ever I travel to Punakha  with my parents I always make sure to glance at the river bank to see It. 

Some birds migrates to warmer palace in winter and cooler  places during  the summer. There is a peculiar nocturnal  bird in the place where I live. when that bird hoots near by the house, people believes that it brings bad omen. Nobody in my place knows the name of this bird in English. In local term they call it “Aw Singye”. I wonder how it looks like. During  day time if you happen to see an owl it is believed that it brings bad luck. similarly if you come across black- neck crane it is believed that it brings happiness.

When I have free time I go for bird watching. It is so nice to encounter and watch many birds. But only in rare cases I come  home without seeing any. Sometimes I do bird sketching in my drawing book.

Good things about birds are that it helps in pollination by drinking nectar and collecting pollen from one flower to other. They also keep pests away from crops by eating harmful bugs. They eat the fruits and prevent it from rotting  and littering the forest. Therefore I consider birds as important animal who contributes a lot to the Mother Nature.
